Show 1034 ( series -series series ) of measurements have been made at a number of points . ( R . ( 4002-4063 4062-4063 ) . ) If and when the dams are built the greater part of ( the -the the ) sediment carried by these streams will be ( de- de ) posited in the upper part , at the headwaters of the ( dam -dam dam ) , at first , gradually fill down to the dam itself . The reservoir capacity of the dam will be materially decreased and there will be a rising of the river bed on the upper end of the reservoir . There would , of course , be no change in the normal flow line , or the water surface of the river . ( R . 4063 . ) This map , Compl . Exh . 9 , is in two parts . One portion is a plan from Lees Ferry upstream , on the main stem of the Colorado , to Grand Junction , covering the Green from its mouth to Green River , Wyoming , and the San Juan from its mouth up to 10 or 12 miles above ( Goodridge-well Goodridgewell ) , to Chinle , Creek . The mileage above Lees Ferry seems to be indicated on all three streams . The power site ( reserves xeserves ) are shown . The power site classifications , . reservoir site withdrawals , and projects for which . application has been made to the Federal Power ( -Commission Commission ) . ( R . 4063-4064 . ) The meaning of ( "power power ) site ( reserves" reserves ) are lands withdrawn from entry under the land laws , to be used for development and use under the water power ( laws 1aws ) . These withdrawals were made under the act . of 1910 , authorizing the President to withdraw lands ( for -for for ) public purposes . There is a legend on the map , explaining the coloring thereon .
