( R . 4432-4433 . . ) , He at one time lived in Bluff , ( San k9tin ) Juan County , Utah , having gone there ( in iii ) about 1890 , and lived there two or three years . He has ( seen seeli ) ( miners ininers ) start down the San Juan River from Bluff ( in iii ) boats . ( Al- Al ) ( together togetlier7 ) he has seen ( ten tell ) or twelve boats , possibly ( more inore ) . ( R . 4433 . ) He has also had experience ( on oil ) the Colorado River below ( Moab Aloab ) . He ( can't cant ) remember the year , but it was between seven and eight years ago . He entered the river at the town of ( Moab AIoab ) ( with witli ) a ( part- part ) ner . ( R . 4434 . ) He had two boats , one about sixteen by four , and the other about fourteen by three and a half . These were not motor boats , just small rowboats with a light draft . It was a trapping expedition , and he ( went weut ) down into Cataract Canyon about ( op- op ) posite the Henry ( Mountains Alountains ) . ( R . 4435 . ) He went through four or five rapids , possibly more . These were big rapids and most of the swift water was in them .
