Show Anderson accompanied 1335 him . She is a daughter of A . I . Anderson . He believes Anderson was ( at- at ) tempting to establish a small farm in connection with oil development they were trying to promote west of the river . ( R . 5212 . ) The September trip he made for certain agreed charges , and during August of this same year , he constructed a boat called the Utak a tunnel boat ; and the September trip was made on that boat . The name of the first boat was the Ida ( J3 B ) . and he took the engine out of the Ida B . and put it in the Utah . The Ida B . had a draft of 22 inches , ( ap- ap ) proximately , under normal load , and the ( Utah Utak ) had a draft of ( 18 IS ) inches under normal load . Coming back from Moab on the September trip he loaded about ( 1,000'pounds 1000pounds ) of peaches . ( "When When When ) he loaded the peaches they were riper than was the ( usual iisual ) custom in picking peaches for shipment . He found this out afterwards . When he arrived at Greenriver they were almost perfect . They had ripened a little , but they were not overly ripe , and were all salable . ( ( E R ) . 5213-5214 . ) On this trip he does not recall any difficulties or delays until he got to the mouth of Indian Creek . He had a slow ( time -time time ) going through the Slide and had to follow the eddy waters , and he ran on to a submerged rock and had to throw the nose of his boat in the stream to let the current pull it off . Then it turned around and went back , and ( he lie ) ran across and struck the eddy water on the other side , but it did not damage |
