( R . 2968- 2969 . ) This map shows Frank Shafer No . 1 above the mean high water mark . That is also true of ( well -well well ) No . 2 . No . I well is above ; approximately sixty feet laterally . There is no ( contonr contour ) here , so ( lie he ) is ( nnable unable ) to judge ( from froin ) the map how much above in elevation it is above the mean ( high-water highwater ) ( mark -mark mark ) . ( R . 2969 . ) Compl . Exh . No . 466 is a continuation of sheet Compl . Exh . 465 showing the land lines and meander lines on the river through the John H . Shafer structure . During the ( time thue ) he was in that country he was on the river practically ( every eveTy ) day . ( R . ( 2971 -9971 ) . ) He had trouble with sand ( bais baTS ) , possibly not all the time , but ( nearly ilearly ) every trip , especially in crossing ( the -the the ) river and on trips to Moab with the larger boats . He ( would -would would ) not find the channel of the river in the same place at all times , on that portion of the river on which he operated . ( R . 2972 . ) While he was there he observed the effect at different stages of the wateTupon the sand bars in the ( channel ebanilel ) At extreme low water the channels . were ( easier easieT ) to see , because the bars would be more or less exposed . At extreme ( "high high high ) . water the bars the greatest trouble the bars gave ( them thein ) was in ( cross- cross ) |
