Show ( right -right right ) along the bank by 1295 the dock after high water , , but it ( doesn't doesnt ) cause any difficulty to speak of , because they use the paddle wheel of the big boat as a dredge and cut the sand out in that way . It has been necessary only a couple of times two or three years ago to clean out right along by the dock with shovels . . ( R . 5078 . ) He made one trip with the Chandler boat about six miles above ( Moab Afoab ) or a little above Nigger Bill . . This was a fishing trip and he went just to be gojng . There ( isn't isnt ) much of a rapid at Nigger Bill but ( til-ore tilore ) are some right above there . He has never tried to take the Chandler boat up those riffles . He ( doesn't doesnt ) remember exactly but he thinks his company received one dollar and a half per hundred for hauling material ( from froin ) Thompson down to ( Lock- Lock ) hart Canyon . ( R . 5078-5079 . ) For hauling material down to the operations on Indian Creek he believes they received two dollars and a quarter a hundred . ( R . . 5080 ) The distance hauled from Thompson to the ( opera- opera ) tions on Indian Creek was about one hundred and twenty or ( twenty-five twentyfive ) miles . He also hauled material to the San Juan oil field around Mexican Hat , a distance of about one ( hundred hiindred ) and ( forty-four fortyfour ) miles from Thompson , for which they received sixty dollars per ton . These deliveries were made overland with trucks . ( R . 5081-5082 . ) |
