Show He first built a raft at 1828 the ( mouth niouth ) of ( Cisco OiSCO ) Washy about thirty miles above Moab , on the Colorado River . He would say their load ( was -was was ) at least five hundred pounds , and his brother and he rode the raft down the river . On the trip down the river , when they arrived at the mouth of Castle Creek2 it was covered with trees and brush , and they did not observe it was the mouth of the creek , and passed by , and went to a point known as Nigger Bill Canyon , three or four miles above Moab .
