Ile was down there about two weeks , and he got about the country in his scouting with a saddle horse , I and after he finished his inspection he came back to Greenriver on his horse . On the trip down with Mr . Wolverton , there were not any difficulties ( en- en ) countered in navigating , and they ( didn't didnt ) get on any sand bars , , but when they went up below Fort ( Bot- Bot ) tom and tried to get to the bank there , they got stuck in going to the east bank of the river , the current being on the west side at that point . ( R . 5436 . . ) He ( couldn't couldnt ) get up to the bank at all places along the river , and if ( he Ile ) wanted to get to the east side and the current was on the west side , he would sometimes have a little difficulty , because he would get out of the channel when landing . Aside from that , , the boat was not stuck at all on any sand bars , as far as he knows . He ( doesn't doesnt ) remember whether it was necessary to get into the water to get the boat off , . but it would have been the easiest way to do it . .
