Show loaded at Wolverton ( 's s ) Ranch ( 11G5 1165 ) because that was as far as Mr . Wolverton wanted to go . He ( went -went went ) over the riffles going down in a rowboat , , , and he took his whole outfit home , but he ( couldn't couldnt ) say that the reason Wolverton ( didn't didnt ) go on up was because he ( couldn't couldnt ) make the grade in his boat . ( ( E R ) . 4621 . ) The last time he saw the Wolverton boat and the ( Marguerite i1farguerite ) they were up above the bridge at ( Green- Green ) river , Utah . He ( doesn't doesnt ) believe he has ever been with Wolverton or ( Wiminer Wh-nmer Whnmer ) when ( 'they they -they they ) came into Greenriver in their power boats . On the trips up the river in his rowboats he would tow them a good . part of the way . He has been through the Slide with a rowboat , towed through there . He never , made a trip upstream on either one of the rivers that he ( didn't didnt ) have to always tow his boat . He ( didn't didnt ) have to tow all the way ; if he knew the river , he could row , but there are certain places he could make it better by towing . ( ( B R ) . 4622 . ) He tows the boat for a rest on account of the . swiftness of the current ; he supposes he ( could could- could ) fight it in lots of places but it is easier , to tow than to row . The Green River freezes over ( occasion occasion- occasion ) ¬ ally ; not every year at his station , but he ( couldn't couldnt ) tell what it does further down the - river . He has . seen it frozen over . ( R . 4623 . ) He believes it ( 'as as ) in 1905 or 1906 when he saw it frozen ( during duying ) ( January Jamiary ) and February . He saw four horse teams cross on the ice . On the journey ( 3.3'307-31-YoL 3330731YoL ) . . 2-28 |
