Following the installation of the ( fourteen-horsepower fourteenhorsepower ) engine in the Wilmont , he made several round trips to Moab for ( compensation coinpensation ) . The Copper Company later built a boat named the Colorado . This boat he thinks was built in 1905 or 1906 , and was powered with the seven and a half horsepower engine taken off the ( Wilmont TVilmont ) . He remembers making a number of trips with the Colorado , down to the head of ( Still- Still ) water Canyon , but the boat was not a success from a navigation standpoint , it being too light and the vibration was too great when the engine was running . The Copper Company , he thinks , quit operations in 1908 . In 1905 , 1906 , and 1907 he made several trips ( with -with with ) both the ( Wilmont lVilmont ) and the Colorado , for ( compen compen- compen ) , sation . He remembers making one trip with the Colorado with a party of hunters , forty miles below , and ( with -with with ) the ( Wilmont lVilmont ) he made a number of trips with ( tourists -tourists tourists ) and hunters .
