V . content of the Utah Copper Company ( operat- operat ) i at Bingham is around 1 per cent , or slightly less . . I known length and width of these deposits of i Big Indian are that in one direction they have measured ( three-quarters threequarters ) of a mile ; in the other ( direc- direc ) I ( five-eighths fiveeighths ) of a mile , and their opinion is at that it is covered up by deposits of d6bris from the LaSal Mountains , and the opinion of other geologists is that it will extend to an indefinite length toward the LaSal Mountains , but it is exposed on the surface an area ( three-quarters threequarters ) by ( five-eighths fiveeighths ) miles now , and a mile from where the present workings are are two shafts that have been sunk at lower which contain very high grade ore ; ; what he means by high grade ore would be about six to eight per cent copper . ( R . 5428 . ) In the concentrates that they make of 40 per cent copper , , there would be . about three ounces of silver , and the tonnage in sight by the known limits of the ore body is between three hundred and fifty and five hundred thousand . . They have constructed a mill and at the present time employ 22 to 24 men . The mill is built largely , , on an experimental basis , to determine the best method of treatment , and experiments now indicate that they Are warranted in going ahead with the larger plant . . ( R . 5429 . ) He has personal knowledge of the vanadium ( oper- oper ) ( -ations ations ) and there is a plant about ten miles below |
