Description |
Testimony given before special master Charles Warren in a suit brought by the United States against the state of Utah over ownership of the bed of the Colorado River. Much of the testimony was given by river runners, scientists and engineers, petroleum geologists, and placer miners. The testimony constitutes an extensive oral history of the men and women who utilized the Colorado River Basin in Utah prior to 1929. |

( R . 4728 . ) Thesgj , were not log rafts , they were lumber rafts and the effect of the mud was just to weigh ( them thein ) ( down dowil ) in 14 , the water ; make them sink deeper and run ( sloweiv slower ) . . He did not use ( any ally ) power on the rafts ; they would , , just float dowil ( and a-rid arid ) he never had to tow them . .
