About 1908 he had occasion to go to the town . . of Greenriver , Utah , and to take a trip on the * Green River . ( R . 4681 . ) On this trip he ( went weilt ) down to the junction of the Green River and the Colorado River , and on ( -down down ) to the head of Cataract Canyon , and came , back up the river . Going down he used a gasoline driven boat , , about thirty feet long , about five feet wide in the middle , and two and ( one-half onehalf ) feet deep . , _ It was driven by a propeller , the lower half of which under ordinary ( conditions col'iditions coliditions ) was about a foot .
