Show project as it was submitted 1049 by Mr . Turley , and as it has been submitted since by the State Engineer of New Mexico , as a feasible project . That ( some some- some ) thing might come out of there is quite probable . But nothing to the extent of along the line that has been outlined in either one of those schemes . ( R . 4171-1472 . ) Redirect examination ( R . Vol . 23 , pp . 4172- 4174 ) : The lands referred to lie in the Navajo Indian Reservation , south of the San Juan and east of the 110 meridian . There is an immense acreage there ; probably , beyond the available ( water mrater ) ' . Just what part of all of that could be irrigated he could not tell you . And he only testified as to general levels . I mean by that , by a diversion of water high up on the stream , as Turley intended it , the levels would permit them getting down there , but there are a great many obstructions in the meantime that you would have to overcome in reaching them . You are ( meet meet- meet ) ing with arroyos , and not hogbacks , but obstructions that would have to be tunneled land uprisings and , , you are passing in the meantime some immense washes , and the elevation to which Turley ( contem contem- contem ) ¬ plated in his project , you would ( have 'have have ) structural difficulties in many places .
