Show 1425 As far as the ariny ( engineers' engineers ) report is concerned , , and the opinion of army officers , or any other ( per- per ) sons , as to what ( might inight ) be done with the river in order to improve its navigation in 1896 , he holds equally ( immaterial iminaterial ) and irrelevant and would not consider that portion of the report . ( R . 5521-5522 . ) In the quantities of Government reports which have been introduced , ( he lie ) ( will Nvill ) use such portions as are pointed out to him on argument or otherwise , and will indicate such portions as he considers ( rele- rele ) vant or irrelevant , and the portions that he considers irrelevant and immaterial he will rule on in his report . ( R . 5522-5523 . ) When reports or printed documents are ( intro- intro ) duced , it is manifest that it is not everything in the reports that is relevant to the case , and if he makes use of any portion that either side consider were not relevant or material , counsel on ( either eithen- eithen ) side will have an opportunity to take exception to his report . ( R . 5523-5525 . ) Mr . . Farnsworth states that he claims nothing for any testimony of Mr . Wolverton with respect to the improvement of navigation of the rivers , or the effect of such improvement upon navigation . ( R . 5525-5529 . ) The SPECIAL MASTER . I am not going to construe Mr . . ( Wolverton Wolverton's Wolvertons ) testimony . I am going to strike it out . Wherever it has any reference to operation of boats in an improved condition of the river , I am going to strike it out of the river . |
