Show He does not know of anybody 1086 that got any ( mcr- mcr ) chandise from the river for any commercial business . From time to time he has driven stock across the river . Up and down the river there for about forty miles , wherever there was a shallow place , riffles , they called them , there above the mouth of the San Rafael clear down the canyon about forty miles . ( R . ( 4286-42S7 428642S7 4286-4287 ) . ) He has crossed the Green River with stock from below the mouth of the . San Rafael up to where the river comes out of the canyon in the ( book -book book ) cliffs , from about the middle of August until December . In the winter there was ice and he would sometimes cross on the ice at Little valley by his ( brother's brothers ) place and at the mouth of the San Rafael . ( R . 4287-4288 . ) He has crossed the river with cattle , but not with sheep , and he would sometimes have to swim them , in high water but not in low water . There were frequent times when he could cross on foot without swimming ( them thern ) . He has crossed them without swimming all along the ( forty- forty ) mile stretch of the river on the riffles at several different places . ( R . 4288 . ) ( Cross-Examination CrossExamination ) ( R . Vol . 25 , pp . ( 4289- 4289--- ) 4291 ) : In the stretch of the river that he referred to in his direct examination which he believes extends from a mile or two below the mouth of the San Rafael some forty miles up the river , he has crossed sometimes at a ford a mile or two below the mouth of the San Rafael . He crossed at this place in 1891 or 1892 the first time . After that ( he lie ) crossed further |
