Description |
Testimony given before special master Charles Warren in a suit brought by the United States against the state of Utah over ownership of the bed of the Colorado River. Much of the testimony was given by river runners, scientists and engineers, petroleum geologists, and placer miners. The testimony constitutes an extensive oral history of the men and women who utilized the Colorado River Basin in Utah prior to 1929. |

He does not believe that the Boulder Dam , from a scientific standpoint , would interfere with the construction of the other dams further back up the river , but the Boulder Dam will supply the same sections that might have been in part supplied by the other dams . DUDLEY For Complainant ( Record , vol . 23 , pp . 4085-4093 ) He resides at Livingston Heights , Virginia ; is a lawyer ( by 'by by ) profession ; and is connected with the Reclamation and Right of Way Division of the General Land Office . Compl . Exh . No . 9 represents certain withdrawals which have been made by the Government . He is familiar with the map and has checked it with the withdrawals , being designated on the ( map inap ) by number and by * color . The reclamation withdrawals are designated by numbers in yellow ; the power ( site site- site ) withdrawals in red ; and power site projects in green ; the applications actually having been filed with the Federal Power Commission . Compl . Exh . No . 508 to No . 534 , inclusive , are ( with with- with ) ¬ drawals for reclamation purposes made under the Reclamation Act of 1902 . The reclamation ( with with- with ) ¬ drawals are all made by date , and not by number ; the power sites are by number .
