Show 750 ( 'He He ) ( fil-st filst ) went in and about the Colorado Rivar December 31st , 1925 . It has been his duties with the Midwest over the past eight or nine years to visit any well that gave promise of being a ( pro- pro ) ducer or bringing in a producing field , and from that visit to make a report of transportation ( facili- facili ) ties , water supplies , construction of camps and ( ap- ap ) ( purtenant purtenwit ) structures necessary in a producing field . . He went to what we ( termed terined ) at that time No . 1 , the Shafer ( Avell well ) , ( with -with with ) that ( in iii ) ( mind rnind ) , as well as to check the location of the well and the staking of the ( per- per ) mits on ( -which which which ) the well ( was -was was ) located . ( R . 2896 . ) The permits referred to were those obtained from the United States Government wd were known as oil and gas permits of the John Shafer property and the ( Frank Fraiik ) Shafer ( property pyoperty ) . ( R . 2896 . ) His ( com- com ) pany received information that the well had made . a flow of oil on December 8th . ( R . 2896-2898 . . ) He went down to Shafer NVJ . I from Moab on the Moab Garage barge . ( VUrgil Virgil ) Baldwin was in charge of the boat ; and vith him were Mr . . ( Edwards EdwaTds ) ( aiid and ) a transit man by the name of ( Kicker Ricker ) . . ( R . 2898 . ) Left Moab shortly after noon on ( De- De ) cember 31st , ( arid and ) proceeded down the river ; ; about half way to the ( location locatioii ) ( we -we we ) grounded on a ( sand- sand ) , bar and spent almost two hours releasing the boat . . Released , it by taking a line to the shore and putting pressure on that line ( with ivith ) a ( winch which ) they had on the boat , pulling the boat from the ( sandbar saudbar ) ; after repeated trials , they again were able to proceed . . Proceeded down the river to a point about a mile above the location , at ( which ixhich ) time darkness ( over- over ) |
