However , , frequently he would get into a wrong channel of the river , , and would have to get out and push . And he remembered occasionally going over a harder substance , , which might have been a boulder , or a rock riff ; ; be did not look to see ; he was simply worried as to whether he had gone over or had torn a hole in the boat ; ; it was a solid substance . But ( he lie ) was very happy to arrive at ( Wimmer's Wimmers ) Ranch , because that part was all new to him and it was a new experience . ( R . 3653-3654 ) When he arrived at ( Wimmer's Wimmers ) Ranch the ( equip- equip ) ment was already there and loaded on a barge ready to go down the river . ( R . 3654 . ) There was also a small motor boat there in charge of Tom Wimmer . rom there , , after loading the boats , they went on to the junction of the Green and Grand ( Colorado ) Rivers . This was made easier for him because the other party was ahead most of the time and picked out the channel . . Regardless of that , however he ivould stuck with , get his boat , and on occasions got out and helped the larger boat , which in places stuck regardless of piloting . . This ( hap- hap ) |
