Testimony given before special master Charles Warren in a suit brought by the United States against the state of Utah over ownership of the bed of the Colorado River. Much of the testimony was given by river runners, scientists and engineers, petroleum geologists, and placer miners. The testimony constitutes an extensive oral history of the men and women who utilized the Colorado River Basin in Utah prior to 1929. |

In his capacity of assessor , he knows that the irrigated land ( in iii ) San ( Juan Juail ) ( County Coulity ) is assessed at about fifty dollars an acre and the dry ( farm farin ) ( land laiid ) at about ( ten teu ) ( 'dollars dollars -dollars dollars ) an acre . He knows that there is some irrigated ( land laild ) around Bluff that was ( as- as ) sessed , while ( he lie ) was assessor , at about fifty dollars . There is very little dry farming around Bluff .
