Show He ( bad had ) operated south 1340 of ( Moab Aloub ) , mining , and went through ( Moab A-Koub AKoub ) ( on oil ) dozens and dozens of trips . The boat ( was ivas ) built at ( Greenriver reenriver ) instead of Moab and the year was 1927 instead of 1907 . It cost ( him lihn ) between three and four hundred dollars to build a ( boat- boat boat ) He had the most difficulty in operating his boats between Greenriver bridge , Utah , and the ( Whinner Wininier ) ( Ranch Ralich ) . He does not recall any particular riffle or ledge that gave him the most trouble , but he always considered the riffle just below the Greenriver bridge as the most dangerous to navigation in real low water . ( R . 5225 . ) During ( Ms his ) experience south of the San Rafael and around to Moab in the operation of the boats he encountered sand bars . ( R . 5225-5226 . ) He never got ( right Tight ) on any sand bars during the trips , but when he first got ( on oil ) the bar at Woodruff , Mr . Johnson got out of the boat with ( an all ) oar to see how far they got on to the bar , with the idea of just backing off and making another ( landing laildii-ig laildiiig ) . This was ( while -while while ) he ( was -was was ) trying to make a landing . ( R . 5226 . ) In going downstream he got pocketed once below ( Port Fort ) Bottom while he was running a race with ( the flie ) ( Marguerite i1farguerite ) . He took another channel expecting it would break through but it did not and he had to turn around . He carried nothing but oars for the purpose of getting off the sand bars , and always carried oars in case of engine trouble . |
