M, FAbbé Renaudot lui a auffi prêté l'Edition de Courtier ? avec des corre&ions en marge, tirées des meilleurs manufcrksa & qui font prefque toutes confirmées par celui de Florence. Avec ces fecours 3 & l'art de s'enfervirdo-ftement, M. Dacier a rendu au texte de Hierodes toute la perfedion qu'il avoit au fortir des mains de l'Auteur. Il ne relie plus cju*à le réimprimer tout de nouveau ; & le Public feroit fort redevable à M. Dacier, fi après avoir donné la tradudion d'Hierodes, il en donnoit un texte corred. Aux Commentaires de Hierodes, M» £>a' cier a joint des Remarques > qui contiennent avec les principales corre<Sions du Grec, les éclairciiïcmens neceflaires fur le fens des Ve ts, & fur celui du Commentateur.
