Ce font trois Lettres qu'il donne au Public, avec la Réponfe que Jvl. Grènet , à qui elles font écrites toutes trois, a faire à la première. Dans cette première Lettre, M. Peyflbnel expofe de nouveau le deflein de fon Syfiême de Phyfîque ; il en cft fî charmé, qu'il n'a pas crû pouvoir fè difpenfer de nous laflniiit -de la méthode qu'il a fuivie, & qui Ta conduit à cette admirable découverte. Il reprend la chofe de fort loin ; & à l'exemple des grands Philofophes, il nous fait parc deThr- ' itoire de fes études.
