Patrice & S, Bénigne fon fuccefleur immédiat ; & l'on ordonna qu'il y auroit plufîeurs Copies du Livre Royal y lefquelles feroient foi-gneufement gardées dans les principales Egli-fes. Ces exemplaires prirent dans la fuite des temps le nom de ces Eglifes ; de là vient qu'on cite les Livres d'Àrdmagh 5 de Caflel, de Cluain-aig-neach, deCluain-mucnois, &c II paroît par ce qu'on vient de dire 5 que les Milefîens avoient leur Hiftoire fort à cœur. Rien n'eft donc plus mal fondé, félon M; Kennedy j que l'opinion de ceux qui prétendent que les Irlandois n'avoient pas de ca* raâeres avant le temps de S. Patrice. On renvoyé au Chevalier Makenzy les Ecofiois qui voudroient encore fourenir ce fentiment.
