The chief Indications that occur in order to the Cure of this Difcafe, is by all proper Medicines, to evacuate the ferous Recrements of the Blood, and crude Humours, fiagnant in the empty Spaces of the Veliels, and to prevent tllC generation of new watry Matter, the caufe of the Ana arm; whereupon care mult be taken, that the Glands of the Vifcera may be fo difpofed, as to make a fecretion ofthe feveral Recrements of the Blood,and difcharge them by their proper Excretory Ducts 3 and that the Ferments of the Stomach may be {0 well qualified, as to open the Compagc of the Meat, and extract a good Alimentary Liquor; and that the Blood being freed from its crude and indigcf'ted Particles, may be exalted by volatil Salts and Sulphurs, and by good Ferments of the Nervous Liquor, that the Vital Liquor may be reitored to its native Confiitution, and thereby may be 2&ed with a good Fermentation, and aflimilation of the Chyle into Blood, tranfmitted into and aflociated with it. big with Acids, Alkalies, and volatile faline Particles: Perhaps the reafon it, it is very difficult to move Sweat 5 becaufe the watry Humours are fet- tled in the empty Spaces of the Vefl‘cls, relating to the Mufcular parts, whereupon the ferous Recremcnts are not eafily conveyed ( being Extravafated) by the Arteries terminating into the Cutaneous Glands, and thence difcharged by. the Excretory Vefl‘els, inferred into the outward Skin: A. vital Indication is not neceflary to be fatisfied in this Difeafe, by reafon weaknefs producing Lypothimies, Syncopes, do feldom happen in art/17111farm, whereupon Refioratives are not requifite7 but rather Evacuating Medicines, becaule an Amfarm is caufed by a lilpcrabundance of watry Ex- Yet Diaphoreticks produce a very good effeét, as enabling the Blood with Spi- crements, lodged in the habit of the Body; upon which account it may fcé't and allimilate the Chyle; 'and when the watry Faeces have been moved by Purging feern rational, to advife a fparing Diet, as very beneficial in this Difeafe, by reafon the great quantity of Serous Humours is much leffened by AbfliHence, and tranfmitted by the Secretory Glands of the Kidneys, through the Iituous and Volatil Particles, which exalt the crude and nnaétive parts of the Vital Liquor, and Serous Liquors Ptagnant in the Interf'tices of the Veffels, and raife an EH‘crvefcencc and Fermentation in the Blood, in order to perMedicines, and thrown into the Intefiines, it may be ver feafonable to advife Sudorificks, to difcharge the reliques of the Morbificz Matter, the more thin and watry parts of the Blood by Sweat, or infenlible Tranfpiration, when the more grofs Recremental parts have been difcharged ' |
