The liver concentrations of CoC in small mammals can be compared to liver concentrations in rock squirrels (Spermophilus varigatus) (Table 18) and mule deer (Odocoileus hemionus) collected in the northern Oquirrh Mountains in 1971 and 1972 (Sharma et a/. 1974). In rock squirrels, Cu and Pb concentrations were highest in Black Rock Canyon, while Cd concentrations were highest in Swenson's Canyon just north of Pine Canyon. As, Se, and Rock squirrels captured by Zn were similar in Black Rock and Swenson's Canyons. Sharma et a/. (1974)' contained higher concentrations of As, Cd, and Zn than mammals captured in 1995 (Table 19). However, Cu and Se were slightly higher in the mice captured in 1995. Table 18.
