ABSTRACT OF THE PROCEEDINGS The S ecretary read a Report on the additions that had been made to the Society's Menagerie during the months of June, July, August, and September, 1906. Mr. A. D ick se e exhibited a living specimen of the Golden Pheasant ( Thaumalea picta) in abnormal plumage. Mr. H. C. B e c k , F.Z.S., exhibited a skull of the Capybara (Hydrochcerus capybara) showing an elongation of the first premolar in the lower jaw. Prof. E. A. M in c h in , F.Z.S., exhibited some diagrams of Trypa-nosomes from Tsetse-flies and made remarks on the dissemination of diseases by these insects. A communication was read from Prof. R. B u r c k h a r t , C.M.Z.S., containing a short account of a very young embryo of the Okapi (Okapia johnstoni) obtained by his correspondent Dr. T. David from a specimen which had been shot in the Semliki Forest. The object not being well preserved and in an early stage, it could only be stated that all the particulars ascertainable were specially Ungulate in character. * This Abstract is published by the Society at 3 Hanover Square, London, W ., on the Tuesday following the date of Meeting to which it refers.
