Show 1906.] FCETUS OF THE GIRAFFE. 629 The head was completely furry with longish close-set hairs, definitely brown in colour though palish, and showing distinct whorls. There was one whorl above each eye, another between the eye and the ear, and a median unpaired whorl in the occipital region. I saw nothing of the kind in the nasal region.
