Specimens nos. 1204, 1111, and 1127 are slightly lighter in colour than the remainder of the series, which is otherwise very uniform. No. 1127 shows the multimammate character very clearly, which is the only character that in many cases serves to distinguish the members of this very difficult group from Mus colonus Bts. 40.
