ABSTRACT OF THE PROCEEDINGS The S ecre t ary read a Report on the additions that had been made to the Society's Menagerie during the month of May 1906. Dr. W . T. C a lm a n , F.Z.S., exhibited, on behalf of Dr. A. Duges, C.M.Z.S., a specimen of the Crustacean Palcemon jamaicensis Herbst, from the Atoyac River, Vera Cruz, Mexico. Dr. C a lm an also exhibited a photograph of a Lobster with abnormal chelae. Dr. C. G. S e l ig m a n n , F.Z.S., the Society's Pathologist, exhibited and made remarks upon the heart of a Tiger that had died in the Society's Menagerie. Dr. S e l igm a n n also exhibited some feathers from the tail of a cock Pheasant which were gradually assuming the pattern of the feathers of the hen bird. Mr. W . S a v il l e K e n t , F.Z.S., exhibited a series of lantern-slides, taken from photographs in natural colours, illustrating the Fish and associated fauna of the Polynesian Coral Reefs. * This Abstract is published by the Society at 3 Hanover Square, London, W ., on the Tuesday following the date of Meeting to which it refers. It will be issued, free of extra charge, to all Fellows who subscribe to the Publications, along with the * Proceedings' ; but it may be obtained on the day of publication at the price of Sixpence, or, if desired, sent post-free for the sum of Six Shillings per annum, payable in advance. |
