Show Pectunculus ( A x in ^e a ) spurcus Reeve. I. Karachi. Dredged at 3-7 fathoms, mud (F. W. T.) (./. 0. Twells). Also reported from Gulf of Manaar, Ceylon. Originally described from Central America, and is probably a species of very wide distribution. L imopsis e l a ch is t a Sturany. Limopsis elachista Sturany, Exp. ‘ Pola ' im Rothen Meer (1899) Taf. iv. figs. 1-4. P.G. &, M.C. Gulf of Oman. Lat. 25° 04' N., long. 60 20' E.; 60 fathoms. Also in abundance, lat. 24° 58' N., long. 56° 54' E .; 156 fathoms, shell-sand. Rarely off Charbar, at 40 fathoms. We are indebted to the author, Dr. R. Sturany, for the corroboration of identification. L imopsis m u l t istr ia ta Forskfd. (.Pectunculina D'Orb. 1844.) I. Lat. 18° 25' K , long. 71° 45' E. ; at 191 fathoms. A large, abyssal species, finely chased and sculptured, w7hich, originally described as Erythraean, probably will be found in intermediate stations, such as the Persian Gulf and Arabian coasts. These specimens belong to var. b. taprobanensis, a Southern form having its headquarters in Ceylon. I. Bombay, southwards to Goa (Lt.-Col. II. D. Olivier). In one or two places, but rarely. I. Karachi. Found on roaks at about high-tide mark. Originally described from South Africa. N.B.-Mytilus canaliculatus Hanley, reported by Major Baker as occurring at Karachi, is probably an erroneous record. S ept ifer b ilo c u l ar is L. P.G. Lat. 27 N., long. 52° E .; at 40 fathoms, adhering to cable. Koweit, 10 fathoms. S eptifer excisu s Wiegm. I. Karachi, not commonly.
