On voit icy le contraire ; & comme il y a plus de doute pour les adoptions & les émancipations àes Princes, parce que ce font des fixions du Droit Civil, qui femblent faire violence au droit naturel 5 auquel les Souverains font feulement affujettis, M. de Kulpis a fait une recherche curieufe des exemples qui s'en trouvent dans l'Hiftoire ancienne & moderne chez les Hébreux , parmi les Romains , & les Gots > en France , en Allemagne, en Efpagne, & en Italie. Outre les formalitez, préfcrites par le Droit Romain pour les adoptions , il a remarqué qu'elles fe faifoient en cinq autres manières. i°. PerTeftatnentum, en inflituant un héritier fous la condition de porter le nom du Teftateur, dont lHiftoire Romaine fournit plufïeurs exemples. z°.
