M. Vieuflens dans cette Lettre établit le fentiment de M. Defcartes. Il commence d'abord par faire voir que les raifons que M. Louver a apportées pour prouver qu'il ne fçauroit venir dans les cavitez du cœur aucun-ferment, font combattues par diverfes expériences qu'on peut faire fur des cœurs de moutons. Enfuite après avoir montré la poiïîbi-lité qu'il y a qu'il vienne dans les cavitez du cœur quelque ferment, il tâche d'établir fou lyftême. M. Vieufkns fuppofe d'abord , qu*il y a dans l'homme , comme dan? tous les animaux , deux fources de cette^ force mouvante intérieure, qui foûnent & qui règle toute Fccennmie du corps ; la première de ces deux fources, félon lui , eft dans le fingj & l'autre dans Tefprit viral. - Parmi les différentes fofeftanees oui com-pofent le fang, il en reconnoît deux'qui font propres à fermenter ?
