Q Were you down to the river frequently in those days? A Well, not frequently, but once in a year maybe? Q Did you ever make a trip on a boat known as the Wilmont? A Yes sir. Q To whom did that boat belong? A That belonged to E. T. Wolverton. Q What kind of boat was it? A It was a side- wheeler, gasoline boat. Q Did you make a trip on that boat? A Yes sir. Q What year and month, if you recall? A 1909. Q Do you recall the month or the season of the year? A It was in the fall of the year, probably the latter part of September. Q What was the purpose of that trip? A That was pleasure, and hunting deer. Q Where did you meet the boat? A We overtook the boat at the Narrows.
