A The whole equipment combined weighed five tons, That was the freight that was paid on it, wood, iron and all. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q You were about to tell me about your difficulties at Shock rapids. A We got hung up on shock rapids, went down and un-loaded our boat on an island at the lower end of shock rapid; we came back up to the rapid, tried to pry it off, but we couldn't so we unloaded the stuff from there into out boat, took it on down to where we had left the other at the lower end of the island. It was getting dark about that time, so we decided to camp there for the night, which we did. And the following morning we went back up got our raft off.
