A Never went up the river more than, I would say, about seven miles. Q That is, by boat? A Yes sir Q Now, have you been up further overland? A Yes sir. Q To what point? A To what they call Rock creek, -- Rock canyon. Q How many miles is that above Lees Ferry, if you know? A I would say it would be between fifty and sixty miles; I don't know exactly. MR. FARSWORTH: What was the name of the place? MR. BLACKMAR: Rock creek. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q What method of transportation did you adopt to get up there? A I was on the survey for the Southern California Edison Company. That is where we finished up. Q How did you get up there? A Overland, working our way up on the survey.
