Show 5198 F. Bennett- D 3210 Q What point did you purchase your supplies from? A We got carloads from Denver sometimes. When I got a carload they came from Denver, and we bought goods in Salt Lake. Q Whereabouts would it leave the railroad? A At Greenriver. Q Then team down to Hanson creek? A Yes sir. Q During all the time you were in there did you ever bring any supplies down the river from Greenriver, Utah, on the river? A No sir. Q From time to time while you were in there, did you have occasion at other times to move heavy freight down the river? A I moved a keystone drilling outfit at one time from the California bar up to the Good Hope bar, and then I took it back down again a few years later. BY THE SPCIAL MASTER: Q Was that for oil purposes? A No -- it was really an oil drill, yes, but we wasn't using it for that purpose. Q What were you drilling for? A Drilling to bed rock, going to put a dredge in there. Drilling to bed rock, sampling the gravel. |
