Didn't do us any damage at all, went right over it. Q You eventually landed your freight? A Yes; that was the last trouble we had. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q Where did you land the freight? A We landed at the Olympia bar. Q This Witty gas engine you had there, had that been brought in from Hanksville? A Yes. Q Teamed in? A Yes. Q Was the engine set up down there on the Olympia bar? A Yes sir. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q You continued to operate down there, then? A Yes, continued to operate. Q From what point did you get supplies for your outfit? A Most of my supplies came down Hanson's creek and brought up the river from Hanson creek, about five miles below, brought up to Olympia bar; once in a while bring some down in a boat I went to Hite, possibly bring down some supplies from there. |
