Show 5104 Palmer- C 3116 Q You were on that three or four hours? A As I remember it; maybe it wasn't that much. Q That is your recollection? A Yes sir. Q Just as good on that as on these other things, isn't it? A That's the way I remember it. Q Still, you made that entire trip, being on that sandbar three or four hours, somewhere below the state line, you made it between sun up and sun down? A The one way, yes sir. Q I didn't understand you with reference to this pack outfit with that coal; as I understood you, you said you took six hundred pounds of coal by pack train and left the pack train to get on the boat, something of that kind. What do you mean by that? A I was called off the pack train, I was packing the coal before I went on the boat; I was called off the pack train and put on the boat. Q Right there at Warm Creek? A Yes, I was staying at Warm creek, what they call lower Warm creek. Q Where had you got the coal? A Piled up there at Warm creek. Q When you left, that pack train was still at Warm creek? A Yes sir. Q And you never did take that pack train out, did you? |
