Show 5141 Bennett- D 3153 A We went up on the upper end of Water Pocket fold and done some assessment work up there, then went back to the Rincon with horses, packing in supplies as we went. Q Where did you get these supplies? A They were sent in from Torrey, Utah. Q At what point did you get them on the river? A We didn't get those at the river. Q Where did you get them? A They were sent in to the baker ranch, back about twelve miles from the Colorado river. Q On what gulch or creek do you reach the Baker ranch? A It is on what the old- timers call Hall creek, shown on the map as Hoxie creek. Q That would be March or April of 1921? A Yes sir. Q Then how long did you remain down there? A Remained there until May, latter part of May. Q Of 1921? A Of 1921. Q Then where did you go? A Came out by horseback, and came to Salt Lake. Q Through what canyon did you come out with your horses? A What they call Navajo gulch, or Bounds canyon or Big Horn. It has three different names. Q Where is that with reference to Hall's crossing? A It is way below Hall's crossing on the river. |
