I was in there quite a while before my feet got wet. That was on the bar just across from Lake Canyon itself. Q What kind of bottom did you find there? A That was a rocky bottom. Q Not a sandy bottom? A No. Q And in getting that raft off, did you move it across the river or did you move it down the river? A We moved it down and out into the river. Q How far forward would you say you had to move it before you got it into deeper water? A About twenty feet, I should judge. Q Then did you accompany the raft down the river? A Yes sir. Q Did you encounter any other difficulties between there and Rincon? A Yes sir, at shock rapid we hung up again.
