A One trip we made down the river with a boat. Q One trip, you say, you made down the river and got supplies from a boat? A Yes sir. Q That trip was made when your survey happened to get over close to the river, wasn't it, and you needed supplies? A No sir, that was the farthest camp from the river. Q But nevertheless you got supplies from the river then, did you? A One trip, yes sir. Q Ont his survey party you were making surveys back from the rim of the canyon, were you not? A Yes sir, from the rim of the canyon back, just a general survey. Q They were all on the rim and from there on back? A Yes sir. Q How many miles back? A Some places in the canyon it would run up the canyon -- I believe the farthest away we got was fifteen miles, -- somewheres about fifteen miles.
