A Yes. Q How did you get from Good Hope to Tickaboo? A We came up with our pack animals. There is a wagon road there that was built by the Good Hope Company between two different points there. Q How long did you remain in there on that Tickaboo bar? A Until January 1st. Q That would be January 1, 1898? A Yes. Q And then where did you go? A Then I went down to the company's headquarters, and went to work there for the same company. Q That is, back to Good Hope? A Back to Good Hope, yes sir. Q How did you go back to Good Hope? A My recollection is we packed our outfit down with our pack outfit; possibly the wagon took it down; I couldn't say for sure. Q At any rate, it was overland? A Oh, yes. Q How long did you remain then on Good Hope? A Until some time, I should say, perhaps July or August. |
