You would be walking along, and you would say, " why, we can go here", and you would step off in a deep place. There would be a narrow place that would shut you off. We had a lot of trouble getting our stuff over at that time. Q Do these narrow places run up and down the stream? A Them narrow places? Them deep places? Q Yes. You don't understand the question. The question is, do the narrow places run lengthwise of the stream or across the stream. A They run zig- zag, every way. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Here is what I was getting at, are they wide enough, such a crack or break that you could operate a boat through? A No, not for the kind of boat I had at that time, a raft. Q What about a row boat? A You could get a small row boat over them, by watching |
