Sunset wouldn't be later than that in the canyon, would it? A I wouldn't say exactly that, but somewhere around that time. Q How many miles was that? A It is only about three or four miles down there. Q Only three or four miles. The place you went to was ten or eleven miles above what point? A About our camp at the Rincon. Q How far is Shock rapids above your camp? A About six or eight miles, possibly. Q When did you get the raft to your camp? A The next day. Q Was it the next day, or next evening? A From the time we left the first place it was stuck. Q When did you arrive at your camp, in the evening or the middle of the day? A That was along right after the noon hour, if I remember correctly. Q And you unloaded all this equipment, did you? A Yes sir. Q You endeavored to take no possible chance of losing any of the equipment, didn't you, as you came down stream? |
