Bennett- C 3233 I had several men, ten or twelve men, and I mined it and sacked it, then made kind of a sled put of logs and dragged it, put the sacks on and brought them down where I could get them with my mule team, perhaps one- eighth of a mile. I had four mules. We loaded it and took it nearly to opposite the mouth of North wash. Q How did you get it to North wash? A I had a fairly good wagon road after I got down to the wagon road down white canyon. Q When you got it to North wash, then where did you take it? A At that time I was on the left bank of the Colorado; I put it in my boat, and took it across the river with a row boat. Generally used four men going across there when the river was high, and took it on the other side, carried it up the bank, and it was loaded into wagons and hauled from there to Greenriver.
