When we would go into banks we would run aground quite often. They done most of that work with their boat. Q Between Good Hope and the of Warm creek, were there any rapids in there? A Yes, there is a number of rapids; Warm creek there is a number of rapids. Q Do you call to mind the location of any of them as you saw them at that time? A Hanson creek rapids was right where we started from, above Hanson creek rapids. The next rapid below is at the mouth of -- I believe -- I don't remember what they did call that canyon -- comes in from the east, or left bank there. But there is quite a rapid there. And then down below there is a series of little rapids all down through there. When you get down to the mouth of Pine Alcove creek there is a pretty heavy rapid in there. Q Pine Alcove? A Pine Alcove, yes sir. It is commonly called Bull Frog rapids there. Q Are you familiar with that section of the river where some of the witnesses have referred to it as a ledge across the river? |
