After a lecture at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, an LDS woman, who had attended his lecture on evolution, wrote asking for clarification on a few points. In answer to her inquiry, he wrote: As a devout Latter Day Saint, it seems to me, that the important thing is to know that God organized the World. He did it! How he did it is very imperfectly understood and is something we can only speculate about. President McKay says the Church takes no position with respect to Organic Evolution.
