Testimony given before special master Charles Warren in a suit brought by the United States against the state of Utah over ownership of the bed of the Colorado River. Much of the testimony was given by river runners, scientists and engineers, petroleum geologists, and placer miners. The testimony constitutes an extensive oral history of the men and women who utilized the Colorado River Basin in Utah prior to 1929. |

He thinks that perhaps they were miners from the outfit they ( had bad ) in their boat , but he ( didn't didnt ) know who they were . The boat was headed down at a point about four miles up the river from Bluff . He ( couldn't couldnt ) say whether or not the two ( men inen ) in the boat stopped at Bluff . ( ( E R ) . 2545 . ) It was the small ( eighteen-foot eighteenfoot eigliteen-foot eigliteenfoot ) launch that he ( took toolc ) up to Dandy Crossing in July or August , 1912 . He did not see a ( stern-wlieel sternwlieel ) boat on the river at that . |
