On the return trip , ( when vheu ) he came to the mouth of Red Canyon on the Colorado ( River R-iver River ) , he got the boat and went down some fifteen miles to a placer mine , where he ( expected -pected pected ) to find people , but there was no one there . He could see where they had . worked ; mostly with rockers . He saw no other . boats on the Colorado River besides the one he . found . After he towed this boat up stream . , he believes they used the boat to carry their stuff across and ( doesn't doesnt ) remember how he got the stock across . . They crossed at Good Hope Bar .
