Testimony given before special master Charles Warren in a suit brought by the United States against the state of Utah over ownership of the bed of the Colorado River. Much of the testimony was given by river runners, scientists and engineers, petroleum geologists, and placer miners. The testimony constitutes an extensive oral history of the men and women who utilized the Colorado River Basin in Utah prior to 1929. |

Show well and then up river in 722 a small boat of the ( Moab Afoab ) Garage Company . ( B . 2783-2784 . ) He had difficulty in 1926 with bars at low water . ( B . 2785 . ) There were two parties operating on the land along the Colorado River from Moab to Indian Creek , and each party had own pack train . ( Lock- Lock ) hart Camp procured more supplies overland , than by the river . ( ( B R ) . 2790-2791 . ) Redirect ( exwnination exmnhwtion ) ( ( B R ) . , Vol . 15 , pp . 2793- 2797 ) : He had a main camp in 1928 on Colorado ( Biver River ) at Goose Island ( ( B R ) . 2792 ) and crossed in a ( 16-ft 16ft ) . ( rowboat Towboat ) . While he was in that section he did not see any boats going up or down stream . On return trips to camp encountered sand bars several times , a frequent occurrence in low water . During his work on the Colorado ( Biver River ) he was never able to depend on a definite location of the channel , which was constantly shifting . ( ( B R ) . 2793- 27947 ( B R ) . 2795 . ) He ran aground , ( would -would would ) have to climb out and pull the boat over the bar seeking deeper water on one side or the other , if he could find it .
